As well as designing a web presence that included product comparisons and time lines, the Panasonic development included a system wide integration though a B2B interface to communicate with all their existing Dealers. A part of this integration included a commerce based engine which allowed people to bid on old, refurbished or slightly damaged stock. Panasonic was one of the first major brands to found a commercial channel on the Internet.
